Her approach combines human biochemistry and nutritional health requirements with lifestyle change, dietary planning, and health intervention. As a lead in developing the Peachie range, she explains the science behind the recipes:
“We know that as menopause and hormonal changes happen, a host of signs and symptoms start to make themselves felt. For most of us, fatigue, brain fog, mood swings, and joint pain are some of the most uncomfortable, and can have a big impact on our quality of life, including relationships and work.
In developing Peachie, we wanted to celebrate the ‘hero ingredients’ that are often lacking in our diets and are especially important during menopause. Vitamin D and calcium are vital for bone density and strength. Protein is the building block for muscle and many of us don’t get enough to compensate for the muscle loss that accelerates now. Most adults don’t get enough fibre either, throwing the gut microbiome out of balance, affecting digestion and mood. Peachie is a practical and enjoyable way to get these daily essentials in one delicious spoonful!”
